Luigi Toninelli is a research trainee at the ISPI Middle East and North Africa Centre. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan and a Master’s degree in Languages for International Relations from the Catholic University of Milan. During his master’s degree, he studied Political Science and International Relations at the Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut. Luigi’s research interests focus on Lebanon and Iran, with a focus on power processes, nationalism and competition for access to power within society.
